Ingredients:
Prepare Sugar Syrup:
- Sugar 1 & ½ Cup
- Water 2 Cups
- Hari elaichi (Green cardamom) 2
- Lemon juice ½ tbs
Prepare Basbousa Cake with semolina & almonds:
- Badam (Almonds) ½ Cup
- Anday (Eggs) 4
- Sugar ½ Cup
- Sooji (Semolina) sifted 2 Cups
- Khopra (Desiccated coconut) 1 Cup
- Dahi (Yogurt) ½ Cup
- Pakola Full cream Milk 1 Cup
- Maida (All-purpose flour) ½ Cup
- Baking powder 2 tsp
- Makhan (Butter) melted ¾ Cup
- Vanilla essence 1 tsp
- Badam (Almonds)
Directions:
Prepare Sugar Syrup:
In a saucepan,add sugar,water and mix well,bring it to boil & cook until sugar is dissolved.
Add green cardamom,lemon juice,mix well & cook for 2-3 minutes (one string consistency).
Let it cool.
Prepare Basbousa cake with semolina & almonds:
In a grinder,add almonds,grind coarsely & set aside.
In a bowl,add eggs,sugar & whisk well until sugar is dissolved.
Add semolina,desiccated coconut,coarsely ground almonds,yogurt,milk,all-purpose flour,baking powder (sift with the help of sifter),melted butter,vanilla essence & mix until well combined.
Grease 10-inch baking dish with butter,pour prepared batter,spread evenly and tap few times.
Decorate with the whole almonds,cover with cling film & let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
Bake in preheated oven at 200C for 30 minutes.
Remove basbousa from the oven,cut into desired shape and immediately pour prepared sugar syrup while it is still hot.
Let it rest for 30 minutes or until syrup is absorbed then serve!

Saucepan mein cheeni aur pani dal ker ache tarhan mix ker karein aur ubal anay ka bad cheeni ghul janay tak paka lein.
Hari elaichi aur lemon juice dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur 2-3 minutes kliya paka lein (string consistency).
Thanda ker lein.
Prepare Basbousa cake with semolina & almonds:
Grinder mein badam dal ker coarsely grind ker lein & side per rakh dein.
Bowl mein anday aur cheeni dal dein aur cheeni ghul janay tak ache tarhan whisk ker lein.
Sooji,khopra,coarsely ground badam,dahi,doodh,maida,baking powder (sift with the help of sifter), metlted makhan aur vanilla essence dal ker ache tarhan whisk ker lein.
10-inch baking dish ko makhan sa grease karein aur tayyar batter dal ker evenly pheela lein aur few times tap karein.
Whole badam sa decorate ker lein aur cling film sa cover ker ka 20-30 minutes kliya rest dein.
Preheated oven mein 200C per 30 minutes kliya bake ker lein.
Oven sa basbousa ko nikal lein,desired shape mein cut ker lein aur foran tayyar garam sheeray ko evenly pour ker lein.
30 minutes ya phir jab tak sheera achi tarah absorb hojaye, chor dein or phir serve karein!
