Almond Pastry

Ingredients:

-Badam (Almonds) 70g

-Bareek cheeni (Caster sugar) ¼ Cup

-Himalayan pink salt 1 pinch

-Anda (Egg) 1 small

-Makhan (Butter) melted 1 tbs

-Vanilla essence ½ tsp

-Puff pastry 400g

-Anday ki zardi (Egg yolk) whisked 1

-Badam (Almonds) flakes roasted as required

 

Directions:

-In a chopper,add almonds,chop well & transfer to a bowl.

-Add caster sugar,pink salt,egg,butter,vanilla essence,mix until well combined & set aside.

-Sprinkle dry flour on puff pastry & roll out with the help of rolling pin (thickness 0.5cm).

-Add & spread almond mixture,roll out & cut into pinwheel shape (1.5 inch wide).

-In a baking tray (lined with baking sheet),place prepared almond pastry,apply egg yolk & sprinkle almond flakes.

-Bake in preheated oven at 180C for 20-25 minutes.
