Steamed Dumpling Bowl

Ingredients:

Prepare Chicken Filling:

-Chicken qeema (Mince) 400g

-Cornflour 1 tbs

-Safed mirch powder (White pepper powder) ½ tsp

-Chicken powder 1 tsp

-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1 tsp

-Iodized Himalayan pink salt ½ tsp or to taste

-Lehsan (Garlic) finely chopped 1 tbs

-Hara pyaz (Spring onion) green part chopped ⅓ Cup

-Oyster sauce 1 & ½ tbs

-Soy sauce 1 & ½ tbs

-Til ka tel (Sesame oil) 2 tsp

-Water ⅓ Cup

-Dumpling sheets as required

-Chilli oil as required

-Water 2 tbs

-Water (for steaming) as required

-Hara pyaz (Spring onion) green part chopped as required

 

Directions:

-In a bowl, add chicken mince, corn flour, white pepper powder, chicken powder, black pepper powder, pink salt, garlic, spring onion, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and water, mix well until well-combined.

-Grease a small bowl with cooking oil, make a layer of dumpling sheet, add chilli oil, and spread it.

-Add chicken mixture (1 & ½ tbs), make another layer of dumpling sheet, chilli oil, chicken mixture.

-Add water, then cover the top with the dumpling sheet

-In a steaming pot, add water, bring it to a boil, place on a steamer rack, then add prepared dumpling bowl, cover & steam for 25-30 minutes on low flame. (Makes 3 Bowls)

-Take out, pour chilli oil, sprinkle some spring onion & serve!
